Registration forms and online registration is taking place. You will be able to pick forms up at the SOCC office or register online by clicking here.
Registration ends on Saturday, August 20. That is the day to show up for evaluations at the soccer fields in front of Sherwood Oaks, so if you haven't registered by then, just show up and register on the spot.
4-year-olds through Kindergarten are on co-ed teams.
1st through 6th grade teams are boys or girls teams.
Practices will begin the week of September 5. They will be on either Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays. On your registration forms, you will be able to indicate one of those days that you CANNOT practice on, and we'll be sure to put you on a team that practices on one of the other two if at all possible. Additionally, whenever possible, we make extraordinary efforts to put siblings on teams that practice on the same night.
Games are on Saturdays and begin on September 17 and go for 6 weeks.
Parent help is always welcome as coaches and assistant coaches. Also, we can use help with concessions, field striping and other ways that you can contribute to this great program.
If interested in knowing more about coaching, contact Scott Newland at 334-0206 or snewland@socc.org

End of the 2011 Basketball Season
Congratulations to everyone on a great season!
Awards Night
We are so glad to have had a great crowd March 8 at the Awards Night as we wrapped up a fantastic season.
Thanks to Dave Conner and Zach Overs for helping make it all happen.
Congratulations to the coaches who won each round of “Minute To Win It,” especially Coach Gardner from the Spartans who “Faced the Cookie” in about 1 second!
***If you didn’t get a chance to text your vote last night, you can text the message “UPW29875” to the number “90210.” You’ll get a response telling you to how to vote. Each vote (regardless of your answer) is also an entry for our league to win some cool prize! So vote early, and vote often!
Also, here’s the video that we made and showed last night:
The video for this was taken for another purpose, but we ended up being able to use it for Upward. So I apologize that we don't actually have all the divisions represented here. It has just the teams that played at SOCC on a certain day up through 1:30 or so.
Those who made it, though, said that next year it would be easy to do it again and include every game. Yay!
Coaches, thanks again, and if you have any of your awards (balls) for players who couldn’t make it last night, be sure to get in touch with them so you can get them their awards!
Stats:During the season we were thrilled to have had:
260 players & cheerleaders
60+ coaches and assistants
15+ Referees
38 teams
4 cheer squads
40+ churches represented
460 Chick-fil-a sandwiches
17 games each Saturday
136 games for the season
1,000,000+ smiles
Thank you everyone for a great season. See you next year…or hopefully sooner!
